Eyepiece
Battery Compartment
Power + Dot Buttons
Red Control Dial
OLED Eyepiece
An OLED screen inside the eyepiece shows the thermal image and useful information such as battery level and measured distance. Once trajectory calculation is set up, it can also show a calculated aiming point.
Tool-Free Battery Compartment
The scope uses a removable, rechargeable 18650 lithium-ion battery. Open the compartment by hand to replace it without tools. Each battery provides up to 4.5 hours of viewing time. Actual runtime varies with use. Two batteries and a separate charger are included. The USB-C port can power the scope but cannot charge a battery inside it.
Power + Dot Buttons
Double-tap the single-dot button to measure target distance. Hold the double-dot button to switch between photo and video modes; press it once to take a photo or start or stop recording. Press the Power button to open the menu.
Red Control Dial
Turn the red dial to zoom in or out, up to eight times the starting magnification. Press it to change how heat appears on screen using different color palettes. Hold it for quick image settings, or use it to navigate menus.
Accessory Rail
Picatinny Mount
Rubber Eyecup
Removable Picatinny Rail
The side rail lets you attach compatible accessories, such as a laser or an external battery pack. Connect a power pack to the USB-C port to run the scope for longer without replacing its internal battery.
Integrated Picatinny Mount
The built-in mount attaches to a Picatinny rail, the slotted mounting rail found on many rifles. Position the scope so your eye is about 2 inches from the eyepiece, then tighten the mounting screws to 35–50 inch-pounds. Its compact body suits AR-style rifles and other compatible firearms.
Rubber Eyecup
The rubber eyecup blocks light from the display from leaking around your eye, helping keep your face less visible in the dark.
Laser Rangefinder
Objective Lens
Lens Cap
Focus Lever
Built-In Laser Rangefinder
The built-in laser rangefinder measures how far away a target is, from 5 to 1,000 yards. It can show the distance and angle on screen. If you enter your rifle, ammunition and environmental data and enable trajectory calculation, it can also show an estimated aiming point to help account for bullet drop.
Thermal Objective Lens
The 40 mm front lens focuses infrared energy given off by objects onto the thermal sensor. The 640 model starts at 2x magnification, giving you a wider view when scanning for heat sources. The image updates 60 times per second.
Flip-Up Lens Cap
The hinged cap protects the front lens from dust and scratches when the scope isn't in use. Flip it open when you're ready to look through the scope. It stays attached, so there's no loose cover to keep track of.
Removable Focus Lever
Move the lever to sharpen the thermal image when viewing objects at different distances. The raised lever is easy to reach while wearing gloves, and you can remove it if you prefer.
